With more class A office space and more retail space in the metro Jackson area than ever before, where are businesses going around Jackson these days?

"We're seeing a shift, with businesses relocating from downtown to the Highland Colony Parkway," said Michelle Burford. leasing manager with Colony Properties, LLC. "It's no secret that many major players are leaving the downtown area and moving north.

Burford is pleased that new businesses are also moving to the area.

"St. Jude Medical and Stevens Inc. will be moving to the Jackson area soon. So it's not just businesses which are relocating from one area of town to another, but we have businesses which are relocating to this area from other states."
