Jose Wren is a self-described history buff. Fortunately for him, his job surrounds him with it.

Wren, a resident of the Mohawk Valley area of Springfield, owns and manages the Mohawk General Store just down the street from his house on Donna Road. The 93-year-old building now houses two vivid takes on the area - past and present.

Downstairs, the general store continues to operate as it has since it opened in 1914.
