Heard on the Minneapolis Center frequency:
Piper 7PS: "Minneapolis Center, Piper Five Seven Papa Sierra. Wonder if I can get flight following. I don't know exactly where I am ... over Wisconsin. ..."
Minneapolis Center: "Piper Five Seven Papa Sierra. Minneapolis Center. Do you know where the nearest VOR is?"
Piper 7PS (sounding quite sheepish): "Uh, Standby."
Center (after a long pause): "Air craft requesting VFR advisories, what was the call sign?"
The pilot of the Piper never answered. Hopefully she found an air port "somewhere in Wisconsin" and asked directions.
