Noritsu America Corp., Buena Park, Calif. (www.noritsu.com), has just begun shipping the M300 Pro printer, the fourth generation of its inkjet printing technology. Tina Tuccillo, vice president of Strategic Marketing and Product Planning, tells PMA magazine about the Noritsu position and vision in the dry processing arena.

PMA: What is the Noritsu history with dry technology?

Tuccillo: In 2003, we launched the industry's first dry inkjet minilab, the dDP-411. We followed that with the dDP-421 and dDP-621, which won the DIMA Innovative Digital Product Award in 2005. These are machines with improvements made in the type of ink and print capacity. We also introduced the DP-100, a printer with a smaller footprint and the ability to make 12-by-36-inch prints. It offers 11 different print sizes and won the DIMA Innovative Digital Product Award in 2006. Of course, we have just previewed the M300 Pro at PMA 07.

PMA: Why has Noritsu chosen to pursue and support dry printing?

Tuccillo: We see dry as a natural progression in our printer offerings. Noritsu has a tradition of innovation, as we were pioneers of...
