Unfortunately, the question is still: Canfield or Moevao?

Thursday night, the senior tailback led the way as Oregon State eased past Utah. As expected. Meanwhile, the Beavers' sophomore quarterbacks muddled along behind.

This was also to be expected, considering their inexperience. And considering neither guy ever found a rhythm. How could they?

Mike Riley's let's-play-two experiment didn't cost OSU, which is a good thing. And Sean Canfield and Lyle Moevao both did some good things. But the inevitable decision was deferred for another day.

`It's too early to decide,' Riley said.

Which is the wrong answer.

An old football truth says if you have two quarterbacks, you don't have any quarterbacks. Riley disagrees, of course....
