NEW YORK - Executives at Julius Baer Investment Management LLC could make a move to list the New York-based money management operation on the public markets, according to several investment bankers familiar with the situation.

In recent months, the firm has held a number of discussions with asset management companies interested in acquiring an ownership stake in the $60 billion international equity specialist, according to multiple investment bankers who declined attribution because they were not representing Julius Baer.

But management at JBIM has apparently balked at several offers from interested acquirers, these bankers added. And now, sources said that JBIM management is being advised...
