With lively metropolitan cities as well as ghost towns, red rock canyons, snow-capped mountains, and cactus-dotted deserts, Arizona is a kaleidoscope of natural beauty, cultural diversity, and captivating activities.

>From the southern border to central Arizona sprawls the Sonoran Desert. Summer monsoons and spring showers fill the desert with spectacular blooms. To the north are the sunset red rock spires of Sedona, the majestic San Francisco peaks in Flagstaff (the highest in Arizona), and the exhilarating Grand Canyon. The Colorado River--a cool current in an arid land--invites soaring eagles, fabulous fishing, and great water sports. The White Mountains border the east, where pristine wilderness and beautiful lakes provide outdoor adventures during all four seasons.
