Heart disease is the No. 1 killer of American women, but surprisingly, very few women know the symptoms or how to prevent it.

A national campaign, "The Heart Truth is attempting to grab women's attention with a colorful showpiece--19 red dresses created by famous designers like Donna Karan and Nicole Miller to boost awareness about this killer disease. The Heart Truth is touring the dresses around the country with the message that "heart disease doesn't care what you wear."

On Jan. 30, The Heart Truth will kick off in Mississippi with the unveiling of Mississippi's own red dress, a floor-length creation by Jackson designer Donna Kennedy Sones. Her dress will be displayed at a luncheon in downtown Jackson alongside tour of the national campaign's red dresses by Vera Wang. Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein and Badgley Mischka.

Sones' dress will also be on display Saturday, Jan. 31 at Northpark Mall in Jackson from 10 a.m....
