ATLANTA -- Army Reserve Soldiers can help their units and themselves by taking advantage of a new program that pays $2,000 for referring a successful enlistee.

"Everybody wins. The new recruit reaps all the benefits of military service. The referring Soldiers get a substantial amount of money. And the unit gets two highly motivated members," said SFC Susan Kostovick, an Active Guard and Reserve recruiter who works in Beaverton, Ore.
