Eugene Caskey

DEXTER - Eugene Elmo Caskey of Dexter died June 19 of diabetes-related causes at age 72. No service is planned.

He was born April 9, 1935, in Ashland, Ky., to Leslie and Mary Audrey Caskey. He married Janice Hensley in 1976 in Oregon.

Caskey retired after working as a self-employed machinist.

Survivors include his wife, Janice Hensley-Caskey; six sons; seven daughters; a sister, Fayne Schrinek of Enon, Ohio; 33 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. A son, Michael Caskey, died previously.

Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene.

Elsie Caves

SPRINGFIELD - Elsie M. Caves of Springfield died June 11 of cardiac arrest at age 85. No service is planned.

She was born May 5, 1922, in Coquille.

Survivors include her life partner, Wayne Carpenter; two sons, James Groat of Eugene and Wayne Rossman of Drain; and a daughter, Dina Holt of Alaska.

Arrangements by Spring- field Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home.
