Will Rogers and Mark Twain are a couple of the most quotable quibblers that ever graced the stages and pages of the United States. Now, thanks to the mother loads found in the virtual world one can discover massive collections of their wisdom, satire, and unabashed sarcasm. Wrapped in many of those linguistically clever quotes is usually a honey nougat of wisdom. They give you pause; they make you smile; they make you think. Perusal of the archives of both of these clever fellows generates the realization that they both were lovers of words. They loved language in its many forms and were most clever at generating words and images that were a double helix of semantics. They created triple double entendres five times over and no doubt relished doing it. Those who follow these musings in our journal are probably aware that we share that fascination with the twists and coils of words.
