Gaming vote was a vote for the district

A recent story in the Daily Herald discussed the local impact of my gaming expansion vote.

However, some important points that I made to the reporter were omitted from the final story.

As I told the reporter, my vote for gaming expansion is twofold.

Job creation and preservation are high priorities, and the legislation that I supported adds economic stability to our region in both of those areas.

It would have been irresponsible for me to have voted against this bill based on how fast our local communities are growing, and the need for capital projects such as roads and school construction...
