Support the Fair Grounds project

As Chairman of the Grayslake Economic Development Commission, I urge all Grayslake area citizens to support the redevelopment of the Lake County Fairgrounds on Route 45.

The proposed project includes 800,000 square feet of non- residential development. Since the project has no houses, it will generate substantial positive financial benefits to our schools.

It is estimated that $2 million in property taxes will be paid to schools by this project annually. These financial resources, from commercial development rather than homeowners, reduce the need for increases in property tax bills for citizens and local businesses.
