Despite the fame and notoriety Hemingway achieved through his macho boasting and masculine hobbies, he had a softer side often overshadowed by his public persona. Carlene Fredricka Brennen's Hemingway's Cats: An Illustrated Biography sheds some light on a softer Hemingway.
