Shares of E.W. Scripps Co. rose Thursday 2007-06-28 after an analyst upgraded the media company on expectations it will get better prices for advertising and may buy back shares.

Frederick Searby of J.P. Morgan Securities Inc. said he expects a mid single-digit CPM increase at the company's HGTV and Food networks compared with a low single-digit increase in the prior year. CPM is paid advertising that is billed on how many times an ad is viewed....
