Specialty Minerals Inc. (SMI), a wholly owned subsidiary of Minerals Technologies Inc. launched Opacarb 3000 PCC, a new coating product for the paper industry, at the PulPaper 2007 conference in Helsinki in early June. From a press release dated Wednesday 2007-06-27.

"The introduction of this more advanced, more highly evolved Opacarb PCC product presents improved cost-performance to papermakers in the coated paper market," said Riitta Mynttinen, Vice President, Europe, Paper PCC.
