Citizens Republic Bancorp (formerly Citizens Banking Corporation) is the holding company for Citizens Bank, Republic Bank, and F&M Bank-Iowa, which together provide traditional banking services through some 270 offices primarily in Michigan, but also in such markets as central Iowa, the Cleveland and Indianapolis metro areas, and several parts of Wisconsin. The company changed its name following its 2006 purchase of rival Republic Bancorp for more than $1 billion. Citizens Republic Bancorp is active in commercial banking, consumer banking, and wealth management. Subsidiaries provide brokerage services, lease financing, insurance, and annuities.
