MINNEAPOLIS - Ryan Zimmerman arrived at the Metrodome about three hours before game time yesterday and was told he really had no reason to get there so early. Why? Because Washington Nationals manager Manny Acta had decided to give the third baseman a rare day off in the field and use him as his designated hitter for the first time in his career.
