Commencement will be June 9 for the seniors at Marshfield High School. Seniors Jessica Criger and Lisa Ellefson will speak. Don Blom, chairman of the Coos Bay School Board, will deliver a graduation message, and Principal Travis Howard will speak on behalf of the Marshfield faculty. Admission is by ticket only.

Ten students have been named class valedictorian: Maegan Childs, Jessica Criger, Lisa Ellefson, Caitlyn Erickson, Chris Gaunt, Josh Hodges, Bryan Looney, Samuel Robb, Taryn Sheldon and Amber Wiley.

Childs is the daughter of Meredith and Dana Childs. She was a member of National Honor Society and Tri-M Music Honor Society, played percussion in the marching, symphonic and honor bands, sang in the concert choir and played on the volleyball team. She plans to study biology, chemistry or pre-med at college.

Criger, the daughter of Jeff and Cindy Criger of Coos Bay, was a member of National Honor Society and Key Club, was homecoming queen and on the honor roll. She plans to study psychology at...
