The commencement ceremony for the senior class of Willamette High School will be held June 8. Admission is by ticket only. Speakers and vocalists for the program will be selected from the class membership. In the event of rain, the ceremony will be held in the school's east gymnasium.

Twenty-three students qualified for recognition as Top Scholars by achieving a grade-point average of 4.0 or above.

Sarah Anderson, daughter of Joe and Connie Anderson, is an Honors Diploma candidate. She was the DECA chapter president, winning several state titles and competing at the national level. She has participated in Future Business Leaders of America, LINK crew, Triple Achievement Club and the National Honor Society. She plans to major in business at Brigham Young University-Idaho.

Eryn Block, the daughter of Robert and Elizabeth Block, was a member of Triple Achievement Club and will graduate with an Honors Diploma. She was a coordinator for the Mr. Wolverine pageant, a pianist for the jazz program and was a second-team all-league soccer player. She plans to attend the Clark Honors College at the University of Oregon and major in anthropology or political science.

Marianne Bricker, daughter of Dawn Krenz, will graduate with an Honors Diploma. She was captain of the soccer team and twice named first team all-league. She also ran track and wa a member of the National Honor Society and the Triple Achievement Club. She plans to major in biology and sociology at the University of Washington.

Ryan Buttacavoli is the son of David and Dorian Buttacavoli. A candidate for both an Honors Diploma and a full International Baccalaureate diploma, he was a LINK leader and attended a National Young Leaders conference. He was a member of the National Honor Society and the Triple Achievement Club. He plans to study linguistics...
