Article Excerpt MISSISSIPPI GULF COAST -- With a growing population and expanding industrial base, the three coastal counties are looking for innovative ways to provide industrial sites for clients.
A development consultant for the Gulf Coast Alliance, David Kolzow of Hattiesburg is familiar with the needs of Hancock, Harrison and Jackson counties.
"Each county is significantly different, and their approach must be different," he said. "There are so many neat things going on there, and they're in a position to capitalize on them. The real problem I see for industrial sites on the Coast is the lack of space."
Kolzow said the Coast has a quality of life that is unique in Mississippi, and the area can use that to its advantage.
