Jerry Kulich calls all the customers who come to his Mundelein store "big kids," whether they are 5 years old or 80.

Laughs and cheers can be heard as people of all ages hold the triggers to race slot cars around the tracks in the store.

Alex Abt, who has raced slot cars since he was 10 years old back in 1967, said it's a thrill.

"I like the competition of it, the power of the cars' motors, the strength of the electrical current through the track," said Abt, who lives in Mundelein.
