Article Excerpt UNITED NATIONS -- Continuing a distinctive initiative that brings together governments, UN agencies, and civil society to discuss how governments and religions can work together for peace, the Tripartite Forum on Interfaith Cooperation for Peace sponsored a high level conference during the General Assembly on 21 September 2006.
The event drew some 33 government delegations, reflecting rising concern about the spread of religious intolerance and the need to promote religious dialogue as a remedy.
