Bay Street continued to suffer Thursday, as resource issues slipped on concerns that China might raise interest rates in an effort to slow its surging economy. Energy stocks took a beating, dropping 1.7% as crude-oil futures traded down $1.30 to US$61.83 a barrel. Gold shares also finished 2.8% lower, as the price of gold was off $5 at US$688.30 an ounce. When all was said and done, Toronto's S&P/TSX composite had given back 137 points, or 1%, at 13,574.70, while the TSX Venture Exchange declined 39 points to 3,296.62. Despite the day's overall losses, Dianor Resources Inc. (TSX-V:DOR) was attracting attention, experiencing a 9.09% up-tick accompanied by a trading volume of approximately 672,042.
