This is a rebuilding year for the Mitsubishi brand in China.
Total sales of Mitsubishi cars in China fell last year. "We have to recover, at least to the past level" of more than 100,000, says Shinsuke Katsuragi, corporate general manager of Mitsubishi's North Asia Office.
He lists the company's top two priorities for 2007 as:
1. Increase sales of the Mitsubishi-badged Galant and Lancer built by Soueast (Fujian) Motor Co. in Fuzhou, Fujian province.
2. Increase sales of imported Mitsubishi cars.
