Yes, Virginia, there is yet another version of the Charles Dickens classic "A Christmas Carol" - and it takes some liberties.

OPENING THIS WEEK

"The story is told kind of self-consciously," says director Lynda Czajkowska-Thompson.

"At the very beginning, the actors tell you, `We're going to tell you a story. It's a ghost story. It's the best one we know.' Then they take on various costume pieces to become the various characters in the show."

All the familiar characters are there: Scrooge, Tiny Tim, the Cratchits, Marley's ghost and the Ghosts of Christmases Past, Present and Future. The story unfolds pretty much the same way...
