Robert Courtright

A celebration of life will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 5, at the Eugene Elks Lodge for Robert Dean Courtright of Eugene, who died April 22 of a heart attack at age 79.

He was born Feb. 2, 1928, in Eugene to Emmett and Nellie Doyle Courtright. He married Marilyn Freeman on June 30, 1950, in Springfield. She died May 8, 2000.

He was a Navy yeoman third class from 1946 to 1947. He worked at Brooks Office Equipment in Eugene from 1949 to 1987, and at Oregon Typewriter in Eugene until his retirement in 1990.

Survivors include a daughter, Nancy Courtright of Soldotna, Alaska; two sons, Paul of Chugiak, Alaska, and Kelly of Deer Park, Wash.; three grandchildren and one great- grandchild.
