Anida "Cookie" Cohen of Wayne has achieved much in her life, so far.

Formerly a successful model, dancer and actress, she has turned her inexhaustible energy toward helping others, in more recent years.

One of the biggest beneficiaries of Cohen's volunteer and philanthropic spirit is The Chicago Academy for the Arts. And now the Academy has chosen Cohen to be the recipient of its 2007 Irv and Essee Kupcinet Leadership Award.

Cohen is credited with changing the course of the lives of students at The Academy, where she and her husband Max established the Max and Cookie Cohen Scholarship Fund.
