Duluth Metals announces exceptional 500 foot intercepts with new copper-nickel drill results.

TORONTO, May 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Duluth Metals Limited ("Duluth") (TSX: DM) (TSX:DM.U) today announced assay results for six new holes completed on the western part of the property during the current 100,000 foot winter drilling program on the Maturi Extension project near Ely, Minnesota. All holes intersected significant mineralization and outstanding widths with two holes exceeding 500 feet.

"We are extremely pleased with the widths in holes MEX-23 at 560 feet and MEX-24 at 545 feet", stated Dr. Henry (Rick) J. Sandri, President and CEO of Duluth. "These holes are extraordinary, not only in their width, grade and importance to the Maturi Extension Project, but the width of the mineralization in these holes is the equivalent of three Niagara Falls on top of each other, at 188 feet each. Other holes were equally impressive, with the mineralization in MEX-20 and MEX-21 at 320 feet, and both MEX-22 and MEX-19 at 152 feet. This drilling has confirmed an extremely thick and continuous zone of mineralization in our Western Area."

Both MEX-23 and MEX-24 intersected mineralized zones exceeding 500 feet as follows: MEX-23, intersected an outstanding 560 feet of 0.638% copper, 0.186% nickel, and 0.339 grams per tonne of total precious metals (TPM equals Platinum+Palladium+Gold). Included in that interval are 345 feet of 0.650% Cu, 0.181% Ni, and 0.374 grams per tonne of TPM, and 55 feet of 0.908% Cu, 0.309% Ni, and 0.352 grams per tonne of TPM, which includes 5 feet of 3.770% Cu, 1.520% Ni and 0.708 grams per tonne of TPM.
