Firm alliance offers resources to clients and attorneys.

The Gulf Opportunity Zone Act was established to offer attractive incentives so business and industry would invest in the Hurricane Katrina-ravaged areas of Mississippi, Alabama and Louisiana, and it has done just that. Law firms, not only in the three affected states but across the country, have seen their phones light up as interested parties look to take advantage of the economic incentives, mainly in the form of tax breaks, afforded by the act.

While the act and its subsequent rush to take advantage of the incentives before the window closes has presented a challenge to firms in the affected states, firms and their clients outside of the tri-state area have been even more challenged. Without a presence in the affected states, where do firms direct their clients interested in GO Zone benefits?
