North Little Rock, Ark. -- The heavily overcast Sunday morning and the waving American flag set the tone for the beginning of an emotional and somber ceremony for the 90th Regional Readiness Command (RRC) Fallen Soldier Monument Dedication on Sept. 17, 2006.

The words "You Are Not Forgotten" inscribed near the top of the stark black marble slab were clearly visible to all as the official party solemnly marched single file to the front of the gathering to begin the ceremony. At the base of the monument is the symbol appropriately called The Soldier's Cross, which is used by the U.S. Army to honor deceased Soldiers during ceremonies. A bronzed M-16 rifle was stuck into the ground by its attached bayonet, a helmet and dog tags...
