The Gilberts man accused of killing his girlfriend and setting her home on fire could face the death penalty if convicted, officials said Thursday.

Frank Hill, 29, is charged with three counts of first-degree murder and aggravated arson in the Jan. 9 Gilberts townhouse fire where the body of Karyn Pearson, 27, was found.

Kane County prosecutor Greg Sams said Thursday he will seek the death penalty if Hill is found guilty.
