Article Excerpt Redruth, UK -- Surfboard maker HomeBlown is the latest foamer to join the natural polyols bandwagon.
Ned McMahon, general manager of Home-Blown's US unit, launched the company's 'BioFoam' urethane surfboard, which uses natural oil polyols, in mid January, at the Surf Expo 2007 event in Orlando, Florida.
While plant oils are used to make the BioFoam polyols, HomeBlown is not keen to reveal what type, said Rich Voisin, HomeBlown's production manager at its site in Gilbert's Coombe near Redruth, in Cornwall.
