Small ball paid big dividends for Buffalo Grove softball Friday.

The Bison (3-2) collected just 1 extra-base hit in each half of their home doubleheader against Lakes (0-3). But by walking, singling and reaching on errors, they were able to manufacture 16 runs, downing the Eagles 8-2 in the first game and 8-5 in the second.
