NY Construction Tech 2007

Mar.8: The Greater New York Construction User Council (Council) announced the panelists for ConstructionTech2007, a special one-day national conference that examines the latest innovations in construction technology and the impact of technology on the real estate, design and construction industries at the Sheraton New York Hotel and Tower, located at 811 Seventh Avenue in New York City. The program will feature three panel discussions, a keynote address, and a special exhibition featuring new products and technology related to building design and construction. In addition, an awards presentation will honor The New York Times and Forest City Ratner for technological innovation in the New York Times Building, as well as Bank of America/The Durst Organization for innovation in Bank of America/1 Bryant Park. Fire Safety Classes

Mar. 9: The Real Estate Board of New York will offer their Fire Safety Classes. Class 1 will run every Monday in March starting at 9a.m. to 1p.m., and Class 2 every Thursday in March from 5:30 to 9:30p.m. Local Law 26 of 2004 required that the Fire Commissioner adopt standards, procedures and requirements for the orderly evacuation of occupants from any office building, including evacuation of persons necessitated by explosion, biological, chemical or hazardous material incidents or releases, natural disasters or other emergency, or the threat of a terrorist attack.
