EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

THE top five property management firms based on office and retail properties managed in the greater San Fernando Valley are Douglas Emmett Inc. The No. 1 property management firm on the Business Journal's list is Douglas Emmett Inc. with 5.9 million square feet of office and retail square footage under management.

Founded in 1973, Douglas Emmett owns and operates approximately 11.6 million square feet of office space and approximately 2,868 luxury apartment units in its portfolio in Los Angeles and Hawaii.

Douglas Emmett's largest Valley holding is the Warner Center Towers in Woodland Hills. Warner Center Towers includes six office buildings totaling 1,907,167 square feet of office space.

Another holding, the Sherman Oaks Galleria, which includes both retail and office space, totals over 1 million square feet of space.

The company filed an initial public offering late in 2006, selling some 66 million shares at $21 per share.

Since then, Douglas Emmett's stock price has moved to the high-$20s range, reaching a 52-week high of more than $29.

The company has about 400 employees and is headquartered in Santa Monica.
