Bay Street was unable to continue its rally Friday, as financial sector gains curbed resource issue weakness. Energy stocks slipped 0.5% as crude futures traded down $1.59 to US$60.05 a barrel. Gold shares also exhibited a decline, sliding 1% as the price of gold was off $3.50 at US$652 an ounce. Despite the day's rather flat performance, shareholders of Appalaches Resources Inc. (TSX-V:APP) were able to see success Friday Morning , experiencing a 23.53% up-tick accompanied by a trading volume of approximately 3,095,193.
