GOSHEN - Shrinking enrollment is a worry for any school, but it can have its advantages.

Just ask the folks at tiny Goshen School, who treasure the cozy, everyone-knows-everyone, we're-all-family feel to the place.

This year brought an added bonus: STUDIO, a pilot program offering free studio space to professional artists who are willing to do their work during school hours and interact with arts-starved students.

"The concept was if there's an empty classroom, bring the artist in from the community, let them set up and do their work," Principal Jeff Butler said. "Kids can drop by and see the work being created and talk to the person who is creating it."
