Erker Grain Company opened a 5,000-sq. ft. Bulk Dried Fruit and Nut warehouse in Fort Morgan, CO to service Colorado and the central U.S. The warehouse houses more than 30 different products ranging from almonds and cashews to dried mangos and organic raisins, with more items to be added.

HAZELNUTS--Agricultural Marketing Service established final free and restricted percentages for domestic in-shell hazelnuts for the 2006-2007 marketing year under the Federal marketing order for hazelnuts grown in Oregon and Washington. The final free and restricted percentages are 8.284% and 91.716%, respectively. The percentages allocate the quantity of domestically produced hazelnuts which may be marketed in the domestic in-shell market (free) and the quantity of domestically produced hazelnuts that must be disposed of in outlets approved by the Board (restricted). Volume regulation is intended to stabilize the supply of domestic in-shell hazelnuts to meet the limited domestic demand for such hazelnuts...
