A recent Harvard study showed that people are sometimes happier when they have fewer

choices. Two groups were given art posters. Members of one group were allowed to exchange the faux masterpiece for another. People in the other group were told they couldn't return it.

You can probably guess what happened. Group A was never satisfied. The Group B people were just happy to have a poster.

There's a whole book on the subject called "The Paradox of Choice." Food Dude didn't read the book - I just like the cover - but I agree with the premise that more options don't necessarily make us happier. It's the reason I love places such as Costco or Russia before the fall of communism. Sometimes I wish there were only one kind of ground beef, one variety of apple and one brand of paper towel to choose from.
