There won't be any suspense in the team competition, but that doesn't mean that the Midwestern League district wrestling meet won't be filled with entertaining matches at Willamette High School this weekend.

The two-day qualifying meet for the OSAA Class 5A state championships begins at 3 p.m. Friday.

The championship semifinals are scheduled for 9 a.m. Saturday, with the championship finals at 4 p.m.

The top three finishers in each weight class earn automatic berths in the state meet to be held Feb. 15-17 at the Pavilion at the State Fairgrounds in Salem. Team trophies will be awarded through fourth place with individual medals given to the top eight finishers in each weight...
