Declining oil prices on the global market have contributed to a weakening of the leading index of economic indicators for Mexico, according to figures released by the Conference Board (New York) on December 15, 2006. The leading index indicator fell 0.1 percent.

The index measuring economic activity, however, increased 0.3 percent.
