EL PASO, Texas - The Beavers and their Sun Bowl victory that seems to be as big as the state in which they secured it left for home on Saturday.

They took with them a dramatic, last-minute 39-38 win - banked with a two-point conversion run in the final seconds - over Missouri, perhaps securing a place in the 73-year-old postseason show's history.

They took with them, too, the coach Mike Riley magic and the cliches he admits to - hard work, heart, character and the staying of the course no matter what.

Also on the return trip was Riley's flair for winning bowl games.
