DEKALB - Down 27-0 in the semifinals of the Don Flavin wrestling invitational, you couldn't blame West Aurora if it started to think about how things might go in the third-place match.

But the Blackhawks would have no part of that Saturday night. Instead, West Aurora stormed back to knock off Woodstock 37-33 to reach the finals before a short-handed lineup fell short to champion Rockton Hononegah 42-20. Rockton Hononegah had erased a 21-9 deficit in the semifinals to hand Kaneland its lone loss this season 39-25.
