"The neat thing about this game is that probably a lot of people turned the channel," coach Mike Riley said. "And they forget they were watching the Beavers if they turned the channel, because this is pretty typical for us."
Final score: Oregon State 39, Missouri 38, before 48,732 in Sun Bowl Stadium, and whatever was left of a national television audience on CBS.
