Keep bragging, Eugene

In response to the recent controversy over the city of Eugene's slogan: Eugene is a great place to live, if not necessarily the greatest, but who cares? At least the hyperbole was free of charge.

My new home of Baltimore spent a half million dollars earlier this year for this slogan, "Baltimore - Get In On It." Seriously, the truth would be better? "Eugene, it sure rains a lot"? Or "We'll kill you with political correctness"?

Good for Eugene for puffing up its chest a bit and bragging, even if it is...
