Temecula Valley Bank, with six of its 10 offices in this county, continued its rapid growth in assets, vaulting into the $1 billion club this year, just before its 10-year anniversary next month.

Chief Executive Officer Steve Wacknitz said when he helped organize the community bank in December 1996, he never foresaw it passing the $1 billion mark within a decade.
