GIRLS BASKETBALL

Audrey Miller had 14 points and Kate Lanz added 11 to lead Central Catholic to a 58-50 prep girls basketball victory over Sheldon at the Interstate Shootout in Lake Oswego on Thursday.

The Rams commanded a 21-12 lead after one quarter and fought off the Irish the rest of the way. Central Catholic outscored the Irish 15-3 at the line.

Kendra Little scored 15 points and Theresa Brown added 14 points and eight rebounds to lead Sheldon, which will face Beaverton in a consolation game at 6:30 p.m. today.

Marshfield 58, Myrtle Point 27: Brianna George and Moriah Roberge both scored 12 points to lead the host Pirates at the South Coast Holiday Tournament. Marshfield meets Ashland today at 3:30 p.m. for the title.
