FTS Group, Inc. (OTCBB:FLIP)- Thursday's shares closed down 8.91% with a price of $0.04200. The volume was at 4,935,204. The company announced record handset sales for the month of December and a more than 30% increase when compared to the same period for December 2005. FTS Wireless also announced that it has named Mr. Tab Wright as its new Chief Executive Officer effective January 1, 2007. FTS Group Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Scott Gallagher commented, "FTS Wireless has had an exceptional Christmas season highlighted by a 30% plus increase in year over year wireless handset sales. December 2006 will go down as the second best month in the four-year history of the Company, in terms of handset sales. I'd like to thank all of our employees for delivering another solid quarter of growth." New wireless phones and functions were thought to be the main driver behind the increase in year over year sales. Gallagher went on to state, "We're also very excited to announce that Mr. Tab Wright has agreed to become the new CEO of FTS Wireless, Inc. effective January 1, 2007. Tab is a great fit for our Company, he has years of experience in the wireless industry having recently been employed by one of the largest master agents for a leading national wireless carrier. We look forward to working with him to continue the growth trend we've established into 2007."
