Good communication has never been so eZi. Zi sells embedded predictive text input software to wireless handset providers, operating system developers, and set-top box makers. Its eZiText software enables e-mail, messaging, and Web browsing using shorthand in almost any language over cellular phones, PDAs, and other limited keyboard devices. A receiver for four Lancer Group companies holds about 49% of Zi's shares. Chairman and interim CEO Michael Lobsinger owns 12% of the company. Zi acquired Sweden-based Decuma in 2005.

Shares were up 7% after announcing the names of the members the board of directors now consists of.
